News: ‘Are You Ready?’ are looking for a Marketing & PR Executive!

‘Are You Ready?’ is a national, not-for-profit social enterprise committed to transforming young people’s skills, attitudes and aspirations by making enterprise and entrepreneurship a key part of their educational experience.

Developed through the award winning enterprise programme Rotherham Ready, which launched in 2005, ‘Are You Ready?’ aims to become a thriving and sustainable social enterprise by scaling the models, practices and products developed in Rotherham nationally and internationally.

‘Are You Ready?’ is focussed on working with local authorities and school clusters to develop sustainable enterprise culture and provision for young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to and implementing an innovative marketing strategy which supports the organisation to grow.

We want to build a movement towards enterprise in education and develop alliances with like minded partners who share the same vision.

We are looking for someone who can help realise these ambitions and take ‘Are You Ready?’ to the next level.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to and implementing an innovative marketing strategy with agreed targets as set by the board of directors.
  • Supporting the Director of Sales to identify and securing income generation opportunities.
  • Developing brand awareness and reputation.
  • Managing social media.
  • Writing copy.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with the media.
  • Developing and maintaining the company website as an effective marketing and sales tool.
  • Devising and executing marketing campaigns.

Who we’re looking for:

  • An innovative and entrepreneurial individual with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Someone who ‘plans’ as well as ‘does.’
  • Someone who is business savvy and passionate about our social aims.
  • Experience as a marketing and/or communications professional.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Someone who is committed to continuous improvement.
  • The ability to manage and meet tight deadlines.
  • A willingness and enthusiasm to work as and when required.
  • The willingness and ability to build and maintain relationships.

The salary for this post will be £20 – £25,000 pro rata, dependant on skills and experience. The ‘Are You Ready?’ office is based in Rotherham however there are opportunities to work flexibly.

The closing date for applications is Friday 28th September at noon. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an assessment and interview day which will be held in Rotherham on Friday 19th October from 8.30 am to 6.00pm.

The day will be a two stage process with skill and capability assessments taking place in the morning for all shortlisted candidates and final interviews for selected candidates during in the afternoon.  This is a temporary post funded for twelve months, but the right candidate will enable the sustainability and growth of the business and therefore of the post.
