Rotherham Ready's Girls into
Enterprise Summer School is helping 32 Year 9 girls
from five Rotherham Schools develop their entrepreneurial
talents. A series of 7 enterprise days will develop
the girls' enterprise skills and knowledge, helping
them set up their own business in school, building
their confidence and presenting them with increased
options for their future careers.

The national launch of Young Chamber
to schools and Chamber's of commerce took place at Aston
Villa Football Club on 24th May. The event was being
hosted by the Specialist Schools Academies Trust (SSAT)
with Ian Hughes from the Department for Education and
Skills (DfES) present also.

Brussels attracted over 50 delegates from across Europe,
allowing this innovative project to be showcased and
its breakthroughs recognised.

teachers and students from 20 Rotherham schools and colleges
were guests of honour at an Awards Ceremony and Celebration
Event hosted by Leader of the Council, Councillor Roger
Stone, in the Council Chamber at Rotherham Town Hall.

visited Glasgow at the invitation of the Reed Academy
of Enterprise and the Scottish Executive to find out
how Scotland is making strides in developing enterprising
school students.
