Hi everyone
Hope you had a good week off.  It’s not only the lettuces loving the warm weather … so are the slugs, so keep an eye out for those little munchers!
Its only 4 weeks till the big lunch and I’m very excited about the big day.  Our potatoes are in full flower and will easily be ready.  I’ll be giving the lots of water to fatten them up even more.  The peas and mange tout are looking good, and the herbs are growing strongly too.
The carrots, although small have been thinned out to around 1 per 5cm and will now be left to fill out.  I’m a bit worried this year that they won’t be ready.
It’s too late to do Radish so hopefully you sowed them before the holidays, but you might just be able to squeeze in a fast cropping lettuce if you sow this week.
